Mirasys VMS V9.10.1 Release Notes

Mirasys VMS V9.10.1 is out, introducing profile locking, updated components and a wide range of security, stability and driver fixes.

Release date: 28.10.2026

RELEASE HIGHLIGHTS

Enhancements

Profile locking

Administrators can turn off automatic profile updates to keep profile nodes when linked devices are temporarily removed. When a device returns, its profile link and user access are restored; profile changes can also be managed manually in System Manager.

Component updates

Updated and maintained supporting software across video processing, camera integrations, mapping, and VMS services. These updates help address known security risks, improve reliability and compatibility, and keep core features working smoothly.

Fixes

System

  • Video decoding works with the CPU, Intel GPU, and NVIDIA GPU when the Hikvision SVC option is enabled.
  • The number of threads used for decompression with the Intel HW codec is reduced when it is used for video decoding.
  • JPEG encoding works as intended without memory leaks.
  • Communication and deserializing data work as intended against malicious code injection.
  • VMS installers manage and solve the SQL installation issue when the operating system disk sector size is greater than 4KB.
  • The Moxa PTZ is working and can be enabled for any camera.
  • Running installers in silent mode works as intended.
  • All installer options are shown correctly in the installer’s help page.

System Management Server

  • SMServer correctly handles database connections.
  • The automatic settings backup is created correctly when profile maps use PDF and SVG map images.

VMS Server

  • Alarm configuration creation with digital output actions works as intended.
  • Saving VMS service settings works as intended and does not leave the service stuck.
  • The playback works as intended without memory leaks in the VMS server.
  • When making a database query to get metadata using ‘Any’ source type, the source type parameter is ignored (i.e., query results are not filtered by source type).
  • A stale RTSP session does not stop other clients from getting the correct stream.
  • A real-time stream opening works as intended.

FR Service

  • Include thumbnail option setting works as intended with Face Recognition.

AI services

  • Error logs show the correct error when stream opening fails in LPR, FR, and OR services.
  • AI service installers display installer options correctly.

System Manager

  • CSV file camera configuration import accepts RTSP addresses.
  • The names of the inputs and outputs do not change when the IO device is removed.
  • Copying an alarm configuration creates a unique ID as intended.
  • Removing the camera configuration from the VMS server removes the camera configuration from the LPR, FR, and OR services.
  • When a new camera is added to VMS, the resolution and frame rate are set to reasonable default values rather than the highest available values.
  • Removed the unused Face Recognition thumbnail height setting.
  • VMS server selection in the metadata driver install dialog works as intended.
  • Install metadata drivers dialog works as intended when there is no connection to the VMS servers.
  • Camera import using CSV shows a warning when the maximum number of cameras is reached.
  • The correct alarm trigger is displayed in the list of alarms in the alarm settings.
  • When doing a camera search in the camera settings, RTSP Server and Smart service settings are shown only when the license includes these features.
  • Alarm Settings work as intended for the alarms using PTZ cameras that have the PTZ functionality disabled.
  • Exiting the application from the unlock dialog works as intended.
  • Selecting or deselecting all Spotter user roles in the Storage locker tab updates storage locker permissions correctly.

Spotter

  • The VLC Player Spotter plugin does not play material when the URI string is hidden.
  • VLC player plugin works as intended when opening and closing other tabs while the plugin is open.
  • The list of cameras in the Camera Audit plugin shows scrollbars automatically if the content doesn’t fit.
  • The Trucast drivers handle the H.265 stream correctly for the Bosch cameras.
  • The timeline in Spotter works as intended without causing an application crash.
  • The Person Search plugin stores the opened cameras in layouts and saved tabs.
  • Backwards playback with multiple streams works as intended with the selected playback speed.
  • Scheduled layout is loaded more precisely at the defined time.
  • Spotter main menu opens as intended when used with high screen resolution and multiple monitor setups.
  • Video rendering adapts to Windows display scaling changes without needing to restart Spotter.
  • An alarm appears on a map even when its trigger isn't on any map, as long as at least one alarm-action device is on a map.
  • Storyboard dual export also works when a clip has been imported into the storyboard.
  • Only one CloseWindow audit-trail event is written when a Spotter window closes.
  • When you use imported clips in the storyboard, the exported storyboard includes all imported clips.

Spotter Web

  • When a user changes their password in Spotter Web, an audit trail entry is created.
