WHERE DID IT ALL START?
Mirasys began its journey in 1997 as a spin‑off from Vistacom’s videophone technology, entering the market at a pivotal moment when analogue video was giving way to digital. Our first product, the DINA DVR, made its public debut in Helsinki and quickly gained traction among security‑focused industries - especially Finnish banks, where early adopters and partners like Securitas Tekniikka and Hedengren played a key role. Close collaboration with security officers shaped our development early on, establishing the customer‑driven approach that remains central to Mirasys today.
Through the early 2000s, Mirasys expanded rapidly - moving into new offices, hosting industry seminars, and evolving our technology from version V5 to V7. Major milestones followed with the launch of Spotter V8 in 2017, bringing modern usability and system flexibility, and Spotter V9 in 2020, introducing AI-driven capabilities and broader integrations. After decades of growth and innovation, Mirasys returned to its roots in Otaniemi in 2021, continuing its evolution as one of the global leaders in open-platform video management systems.
