Following the requirements of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) guidelines which states how companies can use people’s personal data, Mirasys releases new video management system version with own face blurring solution for CCTV cameras.
According to the new GDPR rules, any CCTV footage shared with a third party or required for personal review must blur any faces not relevant to the issue.
Within Mirasys VMS 8.3.5, our clients are able to redact footage for all types of CCTV systems – analogue & IP, to ensure compliance through the face blurring technology. Also, full body blurring is possible.
Mirasys has implemented highly detailed user permission settings for the feature allowing: authorised users to see view original footage and see faces; separating online and playback and; export functionalities that can be set for different user groups. These new possibilities permit clients to execute separate use cases besides the option to blur the data export.
